I finally bought a Sherline 4 -jaw independent chuck! Now to find a project for it :) To my surprise Sherline does not drill the chuck for tommy bars ?? They want you to unscrew one of the jaws and tap on it to loosen. What?! This can't be true!

Drilling Holes

Drilling holes into the chuck is very easy, the material they use is very machinable. It is  made from free machining steel  12L14.

• Use a little oil
• Center  drill bit
•  5/32 drill bit
• 16 mm deep
