Here is the clutch system! The fan bolts
to the main gear and 3 independent shoes are kept together by
o-rings. It's a quite heavy and a large assembly. |
The main shaft and control rods run
through the main bearing housing. The pushrods also run through
the clutch assembly connecting the main head to the swashplate. |
The full setup! You can see that the
swashplate is BELOW the main gear and the pushrods run through the
main gear, clutch, and fan! Pretty cool and smooth!
|
Here is the swashplate and connecting rod
assembly. The pitch mechanism can also be viewed.
|
A general view of the right side of the
heli. Note the belt runs like a raptor setup with guide pulleys.
|

The servos are in front and upside down. Engine in front with
cylinder pointing front. The links and fuel tank are at top-rear. |
Underside view. Servos are mounted upside
down. All mini servos which are Futaba S-133s.

Beautiful Shell of a BK-177! Nice
little Helicopter! I hope to have it flying someday.
|
The beautiful OS CZ-15. I have not tried
it yet but I am sure it runs like any OS! Smooth!
|
The muffler is interesting. Aluminum up front and a rubber
cover in back. Wonder how it sounds? |
UPDATE
12-03
The little Hirobo MH-10 has gone to a
better home. I never found the time nor interest to get her
flying. Hopefully the new owner, Chris will keep me updated on
her progress.
