-Hacker and GWS Mount-

The mounting holes for my Hacker Brushless motor finally stripped even after re-tapping them for 3mm screws. Here is how that part
was made as well as an adaptation plate to work with the GWS motor mount. The stock was mounted on wood that was clamped to the mill
and nails where placed around it to hold it in place. End of June 04'

Here is the billet of aluminum I used to lathe the top of the motor piece. This piece was cut using a bandsaw and oil.

After some measurements, I lathe the piece and used an endmill to bore out the hole for the ball bearing. Later it was placed on the rotary table and using the mill I drill for 3 mm holes. Came out great!

Here is the basic motor mount. It was designed to mount using the existing GWS holes and give adjustability for gear mesh.

Here is everything complete!

The front part of the Hacker is doing well but I find the aluminum mount to be a little to "soft." I plan on cutting it out of 1.58 mm carbon fiber soon.
