First Flight 9-3-2005
It is 10.30 pm and I tried her out! She is a bit heavy and under powered.
done2.jpg (77531 bytes)
Here is the throw deflections. I am going to move the two rear servos up front..maybe that will help with the CG.
Never flew well, built to heavy.

2nd Foamie Airplane

foamynum2.jpg (103139 bytes) Sorry only one picture but this is the first version of the plane below.

3rd Foamie 9-20-2005

foamynum3.jpg (77765 bytes)
Rear wing and tail group. I cut them at the lowest router setting and fast enough so the foam does not gauge or melt.
foamynum31.jpg (65731 bytes)
Awesome, the sides literally "click" into the fuse
foamynum32.jpg (64813 bytes)
The main wing.
foamynum33.jpg (67893 bytes)
Since the main wing is 40" span I cut it out in two sections. The dovetail joint fits perfectly and requires no glue.
foamynum34.jpg (63544 bytes)
Here is the plane so far.
motmount.jpg (73504 bytes)
I cut out the motor mount using the same bit out of 1/16" plywood.   9-23-2005
motmount1.jpg (64123 bytes)
Here you can see the balsa I used to strengthen the front of the airplane.

3mmfoamy.jpg (324838 bytes)

3mmfoamy1.jpg (229178 bytes)
Here are the pieces. About 5 min of cutting, no prob!
3mmfoamy2.jpg (296848 bytes)
Here is the motor mount. Don't forget to taper the holes for the screws. Also mount the motor than glue the mount to the plane.
3mmfoamy3.jpg (291745 bytes)
All done and I hope it fly well!
