A Truly 100% Custom Made Tahir Product!
|
|
A Custom Build Cauterizer for Surgical procedures used at a veterinary clinic. The original one was built by my ingenious brother Zaig in Nov. 1994 and updated a few years later. After much use it was remade using the incredible machines, the lathe and mill! The electronics which were first designed and built by my brother were also updated at that time. Remake Jan 5, 2001 |

The beginning of it all! Aluminum and a graphite shaft bought from the local hobby store. Here you can see the 3 main parts which were turned before this picture.

Fitting of the front piece and opening
for the button is cut into the main shaft using the mill. |
Main housing holding cautery tip showing custom made on/off spring loaded button. Most of this was made on the mill and using a hand file.

Beautiful fit! I LOVE these machines!
The button was hand made using files. |
Hey it works. Sweet!

Finished Product including custom box, electronics, handle, wiring, fuses, internal rechargeable battery, cooling fan and labels! The sheet metal box was very difficult to cut even with the Dremel. Jan 5, 2001 (total 47 hours in 3 days) |
